Historian and green investor, Nick Robins, will take us back to the East India Company. He will examine how this London-based shareholder-owned corporation extracted vast wealth from India and pushed opium into China, exploring what this means for cultural activism today. Nick is the author of The Corporation That Changed the World: How the East India Company Shaped the Modern Multinational (2012).

Fevzi Hussein, lifelong trade union activist and podcast presenter, will reflect on the legacy of Windrush. His talk will offer a perspective that may challenge some assumptions and provide fresh insights into a defining chapter of British history.

Both talks will be followed by a question-and-answer session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with our speakers.
