Merton Green Party were excited to welcome Natalie Bennett, Green Peer, to an open meeting at Merton Arts Space on 23 June. It was an extremely hot evening but, with a couple of fans and some open doors, the audience enjoyed a thought-provoking insight into Natalie’s work in the House of Lords and the vast scope of her knowledge and interests.

Two Merton Green Party members were on the stage with Natalie. Omar Daair was a very effective chair, while Meg McGrady asked a number of interesting questions before opening up to questions from the audience.

Natalie has written two books, Change Everything (2025) and Green Thinking (2026). She brought two signed copies of each, donating them to Wimbledon Library and to Merton Green Party for us to raffle or give as prizes.
