Huw Buckley

I’m standing as a candidate to be a Councillor in Wimbledon Town and Dundonald. I’ve lived in the ward for over three years and I understand what’s great about and could be even better in our wonderful area. Naturally, I’m really passionate about green politics, but I’m equally enthusiastic about providing a voice for local people, no matter the issue.

I believe that local politics is key to making a difference to people’s lives and, if elected, will do everything I can to make sure that the concerns of local people are heard loud and clear.

I have a professional background as an urban planner and designer. I believe that this grounding, which has helped me to understand the ins and outs of local politics in a working capacity, will stand me in good stead for the day-to-day work of being a Councillor.
