I believe the time has come for change at a national level, with a focus on people over profit.
I also believe that locally there is so much that can be done to help the impact of the important and dedicated work by our local council reach the right people in our ward.
Since moving to London ten years ago, I’ve seen the importance of community, whether it’s caring for vulnerable people, standing up to racism, or simply giving children safe places to play.
These communities need to be protected and invested in, to ensure that Ravensbury and London remain vibrant places to live and work.
Personally, I’d bring my experience of volunteering, care work and communications to assist people in Ravensbury.
In the pandemic I helped start up a new charity tackling loneliness, and saw first-hand how many people fall through the cracks in our society.
As a community care worker, I’ve seen the conditions some vulnerable people are forced to live in, but also the joy that can be spread when a little kindness is delivered with a smile and perhaps a cup of tea.
If elected, I’d be a tireless advocate for anyone who needs support from our Council, and back anyone who’s trying to make our community stronger.
