Ann Strydom

Living in London over the past 25 years has largely been a positive experience for me. Merton, specifically, has been an enjoyable place to live for 20 of those years. However, I have become increasingly concerned about road congestion and safety in the borough – particularly for my two young grandchildren who enjoy lots of outdoor activity. My reason for standing for election is to contribute to any effort that contributes to a safer and healthier environment in all of the wards in the borough.

My lifetime experiences include community nursing and contributing to academic research aimed at improving the health of children in particular. Becoming a Councillor would be a very special opportunity to contribute to the well-being of all residents in the ward I would be privileged to support.
