Nick Robins

I have lived in Merton’s Hillside Ward with my family for 25 years. I focus on how to mobilise finance for climate action, and how to build a just and sustainable economy.
I have worked for organisations such as the European Commission, HSBC, the United Nations Environment Programme, the London School of Economics and the World Resources Institute. I am co-founder of the financial think-tank, Carbon Tracker, and a member of its board. I have advised the UK’s Climate Change Committee on finance, as well as the Scottish Government on just transition.
I am also a historian and have published a book on the rise and fall of the East India Company: The Corporation That Changed The World. Locally, I was one of the group that helped to establish Sustainable Merton.
